Appeal for witnesses following assault in Binstead

Were you in Binstead between 7:30pm and 8:30pm on Saturday (6 December)?

We are appealing for witnesses following a report that between 7:30pm – 8:30pm, a woman in her 40s was assaulted around the Jellicoe Road and Broadway Crescent area.

As part of our investigation, a 32-year-old man from Ryde has been arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation and common assault. He has been bailed with conditions until Friday 6 March 2026 whilst our enquiries continue.
